Is the Pentax 55-300mm screw drive lens good?
The lens extends out quite a bit when in use, but does retract to an acceptably compact size for transporting, and is not too heavy. I also have the original 55-300mm screw drive lens; this new version is superior in every aspect. The only negative is it will not autofocus on older Pentax cameras.
