NaTRIC is the UK National Trauma Research and Innovation Collaborative. Our aim is to deliver high quality audit and research projects at a national level which will improve care of the injured. We are the first truly multidisciplinary research collaborative in the UK.

How do Fragipans form?

This fertile surface horizon, known as a mollic epipedon, results from the long-term addition of organic materials derived from plant roots. Mollisols are among some of the most important and productive agricultural soils in the world and are extensively used for this purpose.
