How to Install Mods on PC Installing Forge – PC. Download the latest version of Java. Go to the Minecraft Forge page. Select a version in the menu on the left side of the screen. Then, press on ‘Installer’ in the ‘Download Recommended’ menu on the right. Once it has downloaded, open the file. Select ‘Install Client’ and then ‘OK’.
How do you download Minecraft mods?
Go to your windows Icon in the bottom left corner if your screen.
Search %appdata% and click on the .minecraft folder.
Download WinRAR Or 7zip I prefer WinRAR,Click on the hyper linked text to download!
Inside the .minecraft folder right click and go down to “New” and press “Folder” and rename it as “mods”.
Download any mod you wish.
Be sure to read the mod thread very carefully some may say to unzip the file and put it in the mods folder.
If it says that take the zip file of the mod and put it your mods folder.
The more common way of it is simply unzipping the zip file and putting all the files into the minecraft.zip.
If you have to do that,inside the .minecraft folder open the bin folder and click on minecraft.zip or jar or sometimes it will just say minecraft.
Drag all the files from the mod into the minecraft zip file.
