This delightful cricket ground is my home from home and has been for the past 25+ years. I am more than happy to travel 50mls there and 50mls back every day when there is a cricket fixture in Northampton. Compared with many other larger and high-profile grounds, this is one of the friendliest.
Can you park your car at Abington Park?
We had parked the car in street’s near Abington Park, so an easy stroll to the grounds, got into the grounds with the security search carried out, have no problems with that, needs must and so on…. we had read up the do’s n don’ts for this venue, but so many people had their stuff thrown into the biffa bins, bottled water even biscuits etc….

What is there to do around the Cricket Ground?
There are now permanent floodlights, an excellent indoor cricket school, comfortable new stands, and various food outlets around the cricket ground. A three-course lunch can be taken in the restaurant, fast food is available all day, and cakes/sausage rolls/pizza slices can be bought in the Bowling Bar, near the digital scoreboard.
