How do you win Chevening?
The basic requirement for a Chevening scholarship is to graduate with at least a second class upper. Most Chevening scholars hold a 2:1. So you don’t have to be a first class student to get this scholarship. Typical Chevening Scholars tend to have ambition, leadership potential, and a strong academic background.
Can I go to another country after Chevening?
a) You must comply with the Chevening travel policy when booking your flights to and from the UK. If you do not, you may lose the entitlement to have your flight costs covered by Chevening. b) Flights back to your home country must be booked at least two months before your award ends, if not sooner.
Do you have to go back to your country after Chevening Scholarship?
a) You must return home for a period of at least two years following the completion of your Scholarship. The Secretariat is unable to provide any letter of support which might be required to enable a Scholar to stay on to work or study in the UK.
