Is Case XX Made in USA?
Case remains committed to crafting our knives in the United States. The majority of our knives are made in Bradford, PA, where Case has been manufacturing cutlery for well over a century.
What is a knife Case called?
The sheath is used to protect the knife and as a carrier. Most importantly, the sheath protects the person carrying the knife (e.g. in the pocket or hanging on the belt) from potentially serious injuries that the sharp, unprotected blade could easily cause.
How can you tell how old a Case knife is?
The differences are the “lightning” form of the letter S in Case and USA and the fact that the dots were put above the USA. From 1990 to mid-1993, the actual date was stamped on the tang. The dot system was used again from mid-1993 through 1999. In 2000, Case introduced a new tang date stamp: five X’s and five dots.

Does case still repair knives?
Some knives cannot be repaired depending on the limited availability of parts. In these situations, Case will furnish a currently manufactured item that most closely matches the item sent in for repair. Case does not warrant its products against normal wear or misuse.

How do you replace a pocket knife blade?
sometimes replacing the blade isn’t an option and you need to reprofile the broken tip to make the knife serviceable again such as in theis case. however, always remember- the more blade that is broken off, the more distorted the blade will look when reprofiled. I like to turn that type into a Wharncliffe myself.
