You have the option of requesting either a ballistic vest or a mesh vest. Ballistic vests must be worn over an undershirt with civilian attire over the vest. If you are interested in wearing one of these vests during your ride-along, notify your assigned Deputy when the Deputy greets you for the ride-along.

Age Appropriate For: 14+. This feels like an R-rated movie that got cut down to PG-13, so there’s a lot of cursing and vulgarity, talk about sex and sexual references, some kissing, and lots of non-graphic violence that includes police brutality.

2 SUITABLE ATTIRE Any person approved to ride along is required to be suitably dressed in collared shirt, blouse or jacket, slacks and shoes. Sandals, T-shirts, tank tops, shorts and ripped or torn blue jeans are not permitted. Hats and ball caps will not be worn in the hospital vehicle.
