You wont know this until you get the product and read the manual. There is another one that is varible speed just not this one. Amazon rep is of no help at all.

Works with Ty l the accompanying Makita filter, but my shop require us to use a hepa vacuum. I’m tired of manufacturers creating connections that don’t mix with other brands!!
