Can you pay on the gate at Wetherby races?
Our ‘Cars to Course’ admission allows one car and up to 4 adults entry to the Course enclosure. Please be advised that our admission turnstiles no longer accept cash and admission on the day is now by card-payment only.
Why has Wetherby racing been Cancelled?
A racecourse in West Yorkshire has cancelled a meeting on Wednesday due to flooding. Chief executive of Wetherby racecourse Jonjo Sanderson had hoped there was a “slim chance” the meeting would take place.
Do you have to pre book tickets for horse racing?
It is no longer necessary to book tickets in advance and no Covid-19 screening questionnaires or testing are needed. That said, the Racecourse Association (RCA) and the BHA have asked those going to the races to consider taking a lateral flow test to confirm they are not infected with the virus.
Has racing at Wetherby been abandoned?
The track tweeted: “Following the 5mm rain last night, the course has been left with areas of false & unstable ground and we have therefore had to take the decision to abandon today’s @WillHillRacing Cleeve Hurdle fixture. “Apologies to everyone, but that sums up this winter!”
