ED-E can be further upgraded by finding five circuit boards in the Divide: Rank 1 – Weapon maintenance function: Access to a daily dialogue option allowing ED-E to instantly restore the condition of the Courier’s currently equipped weapon by 25%. (This can be increased to 35% with skill check, after obtaining rank 2).
Is it better to take ED-E to the Brotherhood or followers?
Neither option affects reputation with the Brotherhood of Steel or the Followers of the Apocalypse, so the choice is purely between which upgrade is more appealing.
Where do I get ED-E upgrades?
The Courier must find all five of ED-E’s upgrades in the Divide leading to the Camarader-E perk. All eyebot upgrade circuit boards are located inside destroyed eyebots. One can find these upgrades either during or after finishing Lonesome Road, even if ED-E isn’t a companion.
Can you get ED-E back after lonesome road?
Yes, ED-E goes back to Primm when excused from the party until you have the high-roller suite; then you have the option to send him back to Primm or the suite.
Can you take ED-E to the Mojave?
ED-E’s pod will not open upon activating the open pod command on the nearby terminal thus rendering one unable to continue the add-on. Sometimes if the player leaves the Divide directly after finding ED-E for the first time, he may follow them out and into the Mojave.
