I would like to say thank you to the millions of medical personnel around the world who are doing everything possible to contain the COVID-19 virus. It is in support of their efforts and based on the guidance of medical and health professionals, that we feel we must cancel our 2020 USYS ODP Summer Camps.
How much does NJ ODP cost?

Please click here to register for the 2020-2021 ODP Initial Tryouts. The fee this year has been reduced to $25 (from $40 in recent years). We also have a new registration system in place. Please note that you may need to create a new account during your registration process.
Is ODP good for college?
ODP is not for everyone due to cost, etc. It is a great opportunity for players not on a Nationally ranked team to show their ability to College coaches. If ODP were less costly and less political, you would have the majority (80 to 85%) of quality players, instead of 50%.

We expect players to remain in financial good standing with the program at all times. The ODP year runs from September through July of the following year. In a typical ODP year each age group will have six training sessions, six in December and two in January. Training sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays at Casa Grande Sports Complex.

How are players selected for ODP?
Players register to the age-appropriate and gender-appropriate tryout sessions where coaches evaluate players’ performance and skills, including technique, tactics, athletic ability, and attitude. After try outs are complete, coaches select players that the coaches believe are ready for and will be successful in our ODP program.
What is the ASA ODP experience like?
The ASA ODP experience begins with open tryouts, held in the late summer of each year. ODP tryout schedules are published on our website, azyouthsoccer.org, and are advertised to local soccer associations each year during the summer (if not seen posted, info is not yet available).
