Does the Genki Workbook have answers?

Are Genki textbooks worth it?
Genki is a great value for a one-off price. You do have to tack on a little bit for the work book (which I think is ABSOLUTELY necessary should you study with this series). It falls slightly higher on the price range as far as texbooks go. But you pay once and benefit many times over.
Should I get the Genki textbook or workbook?
Essentially it is the same material so there is no advantage to it over personal preference. I have the hard copy of the Genki I textbook but not the Genki II one. I’ve found the workbooks are generally better to have in hard copy form than textbooks, obviously because you can write in workbooks.

Is Genki or Japanese from zero better?
If you’re going diving in at the deep end and willing to do extra research, then Genki might be for you. If you’re looking for a more self contained option that will have most of what you need to learn as a beginner (and does a dam good job at explaining it) then Japanese from zero is your best bet.
Is Genki 1 Third Edition good?
Fantastic book with well-thought content and quality translations. It’ll teach you most stuff that you may need up to JLPT 5. Paper feels a little cheaper than the 2nd edition (personal opinion) however that’s how I like it and this book has a more old-style feel to it, so +1 for that.
