How long is Memorial Park Colorado Springs?
Visitors can enjoy a stroll on the 1.25 mile paved trail around the lake or get a workout in at the fitness stations located along the trail. The lake also allows fishing, paddle boarding, swimming and motorized use.

Appropriate clothing includes a light jacket, long pants, tennis or hiking shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses. Baseball caps are encouraged due to the heat put off by the balloon burners.
Can you swim in Memorial Lake?
The bottom of the lake is also sandy, and drops off quickly in the swimming area. The water has sand and other sediments in it, but is generally fairly clear. There is a designated swimming area marked by floating tubing, and all swimming is unsupervised.

There is no door for getting into the balloon. It is a Hot Air requirement that each passenger can climb in and out over the 1.2 meter tall balloon basket.
Is Memorial Lake stocked with trout?
Fishing: The 85-acre Memorial Lake has largemouth bass, muskellunge, northern pike, yellow perch, white and black crappie, various species of panfish, bullhead, channel catfish, carp and sucker. Trout are also found in the lake although they are not stocked. The lake is readily accessible for shoreline or boat fishing.
