VCOP stands for vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation. These four elements quickly and easily enhance writing by creating the writer’s voice.
How does VCOP work?
You can copy a sentence from a book your child is reading onto a piece of paper minus capital letters or punctuation marks. Then go through the sentence and see if they can add the punctuation marks. Move onto more difficult sentences and types of punctuation marks as they become more confident.
