Does iSmartAlarm use z wave?
iSmartAlarm has very few home automation options. The system doesn’t support Z-Wave or Zigbee integrations, and it doesn’t work with Nest products.
Does Cove work with Alexa?
Cove security does work with Alexa. You can have Alexa arm your system or tell you the status of your alarms. However, Alexa is only available if you select the Cove Plus plan, and the same goes for the Google Assistant integration. Does Cove have outdoor cameras?
How do I connect to iSmart?
Connecting to your iSmart IP camera* The settings for iSmart cameras are built right into our free surveillance software – click “Add” then “IP camera with wizard” to automatically setup your iSmart cameras. Remember to also try connecting via ONVIF as iSmart cameras may support ONVIF connections as well.
Does Cove have an app?
You can use the Cove app on Android and iOS smartphones if you subscribe to the Cove Plus monitoring plan. The app isn’t available for Cove Basic customers.

Connect your IP Camera with your ismartgate
- Open the “ismartgate” app.
- Press the “Config” icon.
- Login using the admin credentials:
- Select the “VIDEO” option.
- In the Video menu, choose the “Door” that you want to video monitor.
- Choose the brand of your IP Camera: “ISMARTGATE CAM”
- Select the option SEARCH ISMARTGATE CAM.

We didn’t love the iSmartAlarm mobile app, and the system lacks home automation options like Z-Wave, although it does work with IFTTT. Our biggest problems with the iSmartAlarm system were with the mobile app.

iSmartAlarm has virtually no home automation options outside of its own smart switch device and IFTTT integration. The iSmartAlarm app can be buggy and frustrating to use. The Spot camera is legitimately good for the price, and we’d recommend it even as a standalone device.
