How does D-ILA work?
Comprised of three chips, D-ILA projects an image on to a silicon-based crystal display by creating the image on the chips. The light source is polarized by a Polarized Beam Splitter and reflects off of each of the chips.

What is LCoS projector?
LCoS stands for Liquid Crystal Technology on Silicon. It is a hybrid between DLP and LCD. DLP projectors use tilting mirrors to reflect light either into or away from the lens while LCD projectors use liquid crystals on glass panels that modulates the amount of light that passes through.
Are DLA projectors good?

The projectors are rated at 20,000 hours to half-brightness, and also enjoy the usual laser advantage of rapid start-up and shut down. On my DLA-NZ7 sample I timed 32 seconds to seeing the D-ILA logo on screen and about 40 seconds to a picture from a live source.
