What is the difference between Wago 221 and 222?
The new Wago 221 series wiring connectors are 40% smaller than the 222 series, helping to further reduce space inside junction boxes. The compact, tool-less design is a great way of connecting cables. They are suitable for use with stranded and solid cables and are ideal for use in domestic or industrial wiring.
Are Wago 222 maintenance free?
Maintenance Free The Wago 222 and 773 Series terminal blocks are completely unlike screw terminals. They are not susceptible to loosening due to temperature cycling, vibration or conductor settling over time.
What are Wagos rated at?
Ratings up to 32 A/450 V and 105°C maximum continuous operating temperature allow the 221 Series Splicing Connectors to be used at ambient temperatures up to 85°C (T85), making them ideal for small and large loads.
Are Wagos fire rated?
The Nylon material WAGO use is suitable for a wide temperature range and is self-extinguishing in the event of fire (UL 94 Flammability rated V0).
Is a Wago maintenance-free?
Wago connectors are NOT maintenance-free. Only the entire assembly can be maintenance-free. With Wago connectors the ONLY way of achieving a maintenance-free connection is to enclose the appropriate Wago connectors within a Wagobox.
Are all Wagos maintenance-free?
Easy, safe, maintenance-free: Perfect for DIN-rails, circuit boards or junction boxes or as pluggable connectors in cable ducts or control cabinets – WAGO offers the right electrical interconnect solutions for every application. All our electrical interconnection solutions are distinguished by: Time savings.
Do Wagos need to be in a box?
WAGOBOX® Light The installer connectors need to be within a suitable enclosure. According to BS 7671, “every connection and termination must be enclosed irrespective of the nominal voltage”. The WAGOBOX® Light junction box meet BS EN 60670-01 and BS EN 60670-22.
What do Wagos do?
Wago Connectors were designed to make the splicing process easier without needing tools. The Wago clap technology makes for faster installation and eliminates maintenance. These all use clamps to terminate fine stranded and solid stranded conductors.
What size WAGO for Ring Main?
The WAGO 0.5 to 2.5 are rated at 24A which is OK on lighting etc. But I would not use them on a Final ring circuit, the WAGO 2.5 to 6.00 are rated at 41A which would be a better solution….See Also:
